During my freshman year of college I joined the MSU Ballroom Dance Team. As I was searching around for more information I found my website and was instantly transferred into a late 2000s blocky CSS distopia of a website. I quickly talked to the executive board about it and rewrote it so that it was mobile responsive and actually plesant to look at.

Unfortunately, at the time, my skills were rather poor at front end UI and it basically looked like a bootstrap 3 example page, but worse. During the summer preceeding my senior year I decided to redo it again using Hugo. Finally, it’s a good looking website with just enough information to keep you happy, but without so much that it’s hard to maintain. Best of all, you don’t need to edit HTML anymore! Just a plain config!

Fast Facts

• I rewrote the website the first time during my freshman year when I wasn’t on ebaord.
• I used a cat as my picture for 2 years before finally giving in and using a picture of the back of my head.
